Bvlgari, the Roman High Jeweller, has expanded its presence in India with its first boutique in Kolkata, opened at Quest Mall, the city's premier luxury retail hub and gateway to the region's high-end market. The launch makes Kolkata the Maison's fourth destination in the country, following its existing presence in Delhi, Mumbai, and Hyderabad, and marks another significant milestone in Bvlgari's ongoing journey across India.
Inside the New Boutique
The Kolkata store brings Bvlgari's Roman design language and full product range to eastern India for the first time:
The boutique spans 115 square metres and is located on the Ground Floor of Quest Mall, with its design inspired by Bvlgari's historic flagship on Via Condotti in Rome, unfolding as an immersive celebration of contemporary Rome where Italian craftsmanship meets Kolkata's own artistic and architectural spirit
It offers the complete Bvlgari experience across jewellery, watches, accessories, and luxury leather goods, blending the Maison's signature elegance with a hospitality-driven in-store atmosphere
Flagship collections Serpenti and Octo take centre stage, Serpenti representing the brand's spirit of transformation and magnetic elegance, and Octo showcasing architectural form and watchmaking excellence
The boutique also carries India-exclusive creations, including the B.zero1 Kada Bracelet and Bvlgari Mangalsutra, alongside established collections such as B.zero1, Divas' Dream, Bvlgari Bvlgari, and Bvlgari Tubogas
High jewellery clients are offered private appointments and access to the Maison's carnet programme, which brings premium creations directly to Kolkata rather than requiring travel to another city
Curated events and cultural touchpoints are planned to further connect the boutique with the local community and Kolkata's artistic identity
Why Kolkata, and Bvlgari's Broader India Strategy
Bvlgari frames the Kolkata opening as part of a deliberate, long-term strategy to deepen its footprint in India's most culturally significant cities, choosing locations where cultural aspiration, a discerning clientele, and a strong appreciation for craftsmanship intersect. As a longstanding centre of India's artistic and intellectual life, Kolkata is positioned as an important pillar in Bvlgari's long-term vision for the country and a reinforcement of its commitment to eastern India specifically.
Stéphane Larher, Managing Director, Bvlgari Middle East, Africa and India, said the Maison was very pleased to open in a city with remarkable artistic and cultural heritage and a deep appreciation for craftsmanship, calling India an important market for the brand and this opening another significant milestone in its journey across the country.
He added that Bvlgari looks forward to welcoming clients from Kolkata and across eastern India, and to sharing the creativity, audacity, and Roman spirit that define the Maison.
