Kalyan Jewellers delivers 38,550 BIS-hallmarked gold rings under Tamil Nadu's newborn welfare scheme, reinforcing its role in large-scale government jewellery supply.

Kalyan Jewellers India Limited has supplied 38,550 one-gram, 22-carat, 916-grade BIS-hallmarked gold rings under the Tamil Nadu Government's 'Thaimaman Thanga Mothiram Thittam', a welfare initiative providing gold rings to eligible newborns delivered at government hospitals across the state.

Rings Delivered Through State Medical Network

The rings were manufactured, hallmarked, and delivered to locations designated by the Tamil Nadu Medical Services Corporation (TNMSC). As part of the programme, they were formally presented to newborns at Government Rajaji Hospital, Madurai, where Tamil Nadu Chief Minister C. Joseph Vijay handed the rings over to children covered under the initiative.

T.S. Kalyanaraman, Managing Director, Kalyan Jewellers India Limited, said gold continues to hold significant meaning in Tamil family traditions, particularly around the birth of a child, adding that the company was honoured to contribute to the government initiative and provide a commemorative keepsake for thousands of newborns statewide.
